‘Upcoming great world leader’: Romualdez, binigyang-puri si PM Kishida

Personal ni sinabihan ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez si Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida na isa itong "upcoming great world leader and a statesman."

Pinapurihan ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez si Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida matapos ang special joint session ng Kongreso noong Sabado, Nobyembre 4.

“I told him after his speech, at the legislative lounge, that we always thought of him to be an upcoming great world leader and a statesman,” kwento ni Romualdez sa mga mamahayag matapos ang sesyon, kung saan nagbigay ng makasaysayang talumpati si Kishida.

“Today, he affirmed that,” dagdag pa ni Romualdez.

Bukod sa “dedication to world peace and regional security” ni Kishida, napabilib rin siya pambihirang bait ng pinuno ng Japan.

“And yet, he had the compassion to speak about projects being downloaded here in the Philippines,” saad ni Romualdez. “And, in fact, he’s on his way to inspect construction sites where there will be some of the rail projects.”

Ang pagbisita ni Kishida sa Kongreso ay bahagi ng kaniyang state visit sa bansa nitong Nobyembre 3 at 4.
