Suportado nina House Speaker Martin Romualdez at Ako Bicol Representative Elizaldy Co ang itatayong Philippine Cancer Center sa Quezon City.

Present ang dalawa sa groundbreaking ceremony para sa pasilidad kung saan makikinabang ang mga cancer warriors.

Sa pamamagitan ng House Committee on Appropriations kung saan chairman si Co, nakapaglaan ng pondo para sa pagtatayo ng fixed assets at critical services ng Philippine Cancer Center.

Ayon naman kay Romualdez, ang medical center ay makatutulong para mabawasan ang bilang ng mga nasasawi dahil sa cancer, na ikalawang pangunahing sanhi ng pagkamatay ng mga Pinoy.

“Each year, thousands are diagnosed, and even more are left to battle without adequate support. This center is our response – to not only decrease mortality and morbidity but to also lessen the incidence of preventable cancers,” ayon kay Romualdez.

“Our aim is to transform cancer from a death sentence into a manageable condition that, when detected and treated early, can be overcome. We want to ensure strategic alignment with national cancer control plans, make treatment more equitable, affordable, and accessible, and improve the overall experience of cancer care for patients and their families,” sambit pa ng House Speaker.
