Rebelde noon, magpupulis ngayon: 178 na dating MILF, MNLF nagsasanay na sa PNP

Malapit nang maging pulis ang 178 na dating miyembro ng MILF at MNLF matapos silang makapasa sa recruitment process ng PNP, alinsunod sa Bangsamoro Organic Law.

Malapit nang maging pulis ang 178 na dating miyembro ng Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) at Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF).

Iyan ay matapos silang makapasa sa recruitment process ng Philippine National Police (PNP).

Ayon kay Interior undersecretary for operations Lord Villanueva, ang pag-recruit sa dating mga miyembro ng MILF at MNLF ay isa sa mga probisyon ng Bangsamoro Organic Law.

“It was stated (in the Bangsamoro Organic Law) that the PNP would recruit former members of the MILF and MNLF. Of the 11,000 who applied, only 178 have hurdled the recruitment process. The standards were propery observed in this process,” paliwanag ni Villanueva sa briefing ng Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon.

Dagdag pa ni Villanueva, ang 178 na nakapasa ay kasalukuyan nang nagte-training.

“The first batch is now in the middle of a six-month training process. The second batch just started a few weeks ago,” sambit niya.

Aniya, mabusisi ang naturang recruitment process, na mayroong ring neuro-psychiatric examinations at character check.
