PBBM, isinulong ang mga karapatan ng Pilipinong mangingisda sa West Philippine Sea sa pulong nila ni Xi Jinping

Nagkasundo sina Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. at Chinese President Xi Jinping na gumawa ng mga hakbang upang pababain ang tensyon sa West Philippine Sea (WPS).

Nakipagpulong na ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. si Chinese President Xi Jinping nitong Sabado, Nobyembre 18 (Manila time), at pangunahin niyang tinalakay ang kalagayan ng mga Pilipinong mangingisda sa West Philippine Sea (WPS).

“Of course, as ever, whenever this issue comes up, I always bring up the plight of the fishermen. And we go back to the situation where both Chinese and Filipino fishermen were fishing together in these waters,” saad ni Marcos sa Kapihan sa Media. “And I think, the point was well taken by President Xi,” he added.

Sinabi rin ni Marcos na nagkasundo sila ni Xi na mag-isip ng mga paraan upang mapababa ang tensiyon sa WPS upang hindi ito maging lamat sa ugnayan ng Pilipinas at China.

“We were in agreement that the problems that we have in South China Sea with China should not be the defining element of our relationship,” aniya. “We have to continue to communicate. We have to continue to be candid with one another and to be sincere in our desire to keep the peace. And I think that sincerity exists for both all parties involved.”
