Hulihin n’yo muna! Kulong hanggang 20 taon, nag-aantay sa mga hacker ng PhilHealth data—PNP

Maaari ring pagmultahin ang mga hacker ng hanggang P10 milyon sa ilalim ng Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, ayon sa pulis.

Nahaharap sa 20 taong pagkakabilanggo ang mga hackers na nagnakaw ng data mula sa Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth), ayon sa Philippine National Police (PNP).

Ayon kay PNP spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo, pasok ang insidente sa Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, na nagtatakda ng kaukulang parusa at pagmulta.

“Unauthorized access to a computer system is a criminal offense, and the hacker could face both criminal charges and civil liability for damages,” ani Fajardo.

“Hacking and other illicit computer-related acts such as illegal access, illegal interception, data interference, system interference, and misuse of devices which includes unauthorized use of passwords, access codes, or similar data are all punishable with six to twelve years imprisonment and fines. Reclusion temporal for Illegal Access since Philhealth can be considered as critical infrastructure,” dagdag pa niya.
