2 reclamation projects sa Pasay City, pasado sa review ng DENR; pinayagan nang magpatuloy

Pinahintulutan ang dalawang reclamation project sa Pasay City matapos matukoy ng Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) na tumatalima ito sa mga panuntunan at reglamento na umiiral.

Ayon kay Environment Secretary Ma. Antonia Yulo-Loyzaga, dumaan sa masusing review ng mga dokumento at reports ng Pasay Harbor City Reclamation Project at Pasay Reclamation Project.

“There were several technical conferences called because there were some findings and observations. And after they complied with what was required, documentation-wise and then review-wise. The DENR actually submitted a report and they had in fact substantially complied,” paliwanag ni Loyzaga sa isang press briefing sa Palasyo.

Ayon pa sa opisyal, nagsagawa ang DENR ng cumulative impact assessment upang matukoy ang epekto ng proyekto sa ipinatutupad na mandamus sa lugar ng DENR na inatasan ng gobyerno bilang lead implementing agency.

”These projects demonstrate adherence to PRA parameters outlined in EO 74 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations as per PRA AO 2019-4. Furthermore, the existing Memoranda of Agreement (MOAs) between PRA and the Pasay City Local Government further solidify their compliance with regulatory frameworks,” paliwanag naman ng Philippine Reclamation Authority sa isang pahayag.

Sinuspinde ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang 20 sa 21 reclamation projects sa Manila Bay ngayong taon at ipinagutos ang masinop na pagrepaso sa mga ito.
